SUZY MICHLESON

SUSAN MICHELSON began her life in music as a Voice major at Boston University. By day, she studied counterpoint and composition; but at night, her passion and vocation was rock and roll. Her diverse musical experiences took her from singing Opera and Italian Art Songs to R&B, Rock and Country. She has had the honor of working with Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Hoyt Axton, Dick Wagner, Alice Cooper, Mary Wells, and Bobby Taylor, among others.

Since 2004, Susan has been personal manager and business partner with the late Dick Wagner, “The Maestro of Rock.” Dick is renowned for his legendary guitar playing and songwriting with Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Kiss, Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel, Lita Ford, Tina Turner, Etta James, and many more. Susan continues to manage Wagner’s legacy and music, including publishing, branding, promotion, record releases, books, distribution, and more.

In true entrepreneurial spirit, Susan and husband Alex Cyrell founded Omnimount Systems www.omnimount.com in 1978 in their Hollywood garage. Omnimount® universal mounting assemblies are now sold throughout the world in multiple markets: pro audio, consumer electronics, home theatre, security, aerospace, medical, and more. Omnimount products have flown to space on the NASA Space Shuttle, and they are specified by THX for multi-plex cinemas worldwide. Founded also by Michelson & Cyrell, Future Primitive® specializes in museum quality musical instrument replicas. The line has been distributed in more than 50 countries, including thousands of music stores and in sophisticated venues including Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Smithsonian, Royal Albert Hall, among many. Michelson has more than 30 years of experience in international marketing, branding, product design, manufacturing, and distribution.

Since 2005, Suzy has been an Official Judge for Fox television’s Arizona Idol, the advance team that selects contestants for American Idol. Suzy’s team of judges selected Jordin Sparks as the Arizona contestant; Sparks ultimately went on to win the national American Idol contest. In 2013, Susan and Dick Wagner founded the Rockers for St. Jude and recorded Dick’s song, “If I Had the Time (I Could Change the World), with an all-star group of artists from across five decades of rock and roll: Mark Farner (Grand Funk Railroad), The Angels (My Boyfriend’s Back), Merrilee Rush (Angel of the Morning), Leland Sklar (James Taylor, Jimmy Buffet), Danny Seraphine (Chicago), Elliot Easton (The Cars), Fred Mandel (Elton John, Queen), and many more. In January 2015, Susan founded the Dick Wagner “Remember the Child” Memorial Fund, presenting the first annual concert fundraiser at the Fillmore Detroit, followed by annual concerts at the Fillmore and Motor City Casino Sound Board. The concerts have featured legendary artists Mark Farner (Grand Funk Railroad), Brad Whitford (Aerosmith), Danny Seraphine (Chicago), Derek St. Holmes (Ted Nugent), Johnny Bee Badanjek (Edgar Winter), Jimmie Bones (Kid Rock), Suzi Quatro, Dennis Dunaway (Alice Cooper), John Ellison (Some Kind of Wonderful), and many more. In her “spare time,” Susan is a writer and editor of books and magazines, including Dick Wagner’s multiple award-winning book, Not Only Women Bleed, Vignettes from the Heart of a Rock Musician.” An avid linguaphile and self-proclaimed “word nerd,” Susan speaks Spanish, French, Italian, as well as English.

Nearly fifty after launching his storied and dynamic career--hit songwriter, guitar virtuoso, producer and arranger, “The Maestro of Rock,” Dick Wagner, remains a brilliant and vibrant force on the pop/rock landscape he helped create.

Dick Wagner’s songs and lead guitar have been featured on more than 350 renowned albums, including more than 35 Platinum and Gold records and is winner of numerous international music awards, BMI and Songwriter Awards.

Legendary for his groundbreaking collaborations with Alice Cooper—for whom he was musical director, lead guitarist and co-writer of the icon’s biggest hits, including “Only Women Bleed,” “You and Me” and “Welcome To My Nightmare” – Wagner was Cooper’s right hand-man on such groundbreaking albums as Welcome to My Nightmare, Alice Cooper Goes to Hell, Lace and Whiskey, From the Inside and DaDa. Together, Cooper and Wagner co-wrote the majority of Cooper's top selling singles and albums, including more than 50 songs that are featured on 22 Alice Cooper albums.

The Detroit area native helped define an era in rock history by playing lead guitar or writing songs for Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Kiss, Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel, Meat Loaf, Steve Perry, Etta James, Rod Stewart, Ringo Starr, Tina Turner, Air Supply, Hall & Oates, Little Richard, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Guns N’ Roses, Tori Amos, and many more.

Throughout his life, Wagner gave generously of his talent to benefit the lives of others. Wagner. Together with Partner Susan Michelson, produced concerts, songs, video and PSAs to benefit charities that support children, the homeless, and veterans -- and to raise awareness of worldwide violence against women and children. Among beneficiaries of the project were St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Guitars for Vets, and more.

A relentlessly creative writer, producer and lead guitar player, Wagner leaves Desert Dreams with a legacy of more than 1,000 songs, treasured albums, books, and expressive writings on musicianship and creativity. ALEX CYRELL

ALEX CYRELL began his professional music career at 15 as drummer for the "Show Band" in the Catskill Mountains, in upstate New York. He's had the privilege of playing drums with Michael Jackson, Tom Jones, Jackie Wilson, Joe Williams, Sarah Vaughn, Big Joe Turner among others.
In Los Angeles, Cyrell segued from musician/producer to sound reinforcement, building recording studios and discos. In 1978, Cyrell founded Omnimount Systems, Inc. with partner Susan Michelson. With sales in more than 50 countries, Omnimount is widely distributed in diversified markets, including mass market consumer, pro audio, consumer audio, OEM, theater, broadcasting, aerospace, medical and home furnishings.
Alex Cyrell holds multiple patents and international awards in advertising, packaging, product design and engineering--including Clio, Mobius, and the prestigious CES Innovations Design and Engineering Showcase Award. In 2004, Alex Cyrell established GeoQuest Entertainment Group, to distribute quality films. GeoQuest released Another Road Home, a small documentary with an estimable story of family and world peace. With rigorous and systematic promotion, Alex achieved the near impossible for a film by an unknown distributor, garnering major market reviews from the NY Times, LA Times, Washington Post, Village Voice, Jerusalem Post, The Times UK, among many.
An unstoppable entrepreneur, in 2016, Cyrell founded a new software platform, Evercast, providing groundbreaking software solutions for the entertainment industry. Alex Cyrell received a BA from Hofstra University with graduate studies at the New School for Social Research Graduate School.
